What Makes Us Different

The combination of our program initiatives, partners and networks (at community and national levels) have allowed us to be at the forefront of promoting gender equality and securing sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and sexual minorities.

As an accredited non-governmental organization in Monrovia, CSI project initiative seeks to enhance a rights-based approach. We build upon existing partnerships and seek out new opportunities for collaboration. In order to expand our reach grow, we had to work through community-based and national civil society organizations and movements with an emphasis on women’s organizations; we contribute to building the capacity of these structures to have the requisite knowledge that enables them to respond efficiently to the gender-sensitive issues, seeking behavior changes and utilization of community-based, districts, county national level advocacy structures through strong collaboration.

CSI has worked in Liberia for over a decade. Through these years, the organization has evolved into results based-achieving Civil Society Organization. After years of investment in recruiting and retaining competent staff, CSI has built an institutional capacity, which enables the organization to design and implement projects across its thematic areas of focus.

Our project focuses on the special needs of different affected communities and groups including vulnerable children, girls, youth, vulnerable women, PLHIV, people with disabilities and their families without which economic and national development program can be neither productive nor sustainable.
